We went on opening day at Ema and had such a great experience. The vibe was spot on and the food was amazing. We ordered the hummus and spreads, which came with warm pita bread and gluten free crackers, and everything was so good. The mocktails were delicious and really pretty, too. The interior decor felt modern but still super relaxing, which made it a great place to hang out and enjoy the meal. The service really stood out. The owner and manager both stopped by to say hi, which was such a nice touch. I also accidentally spilled my mocktail and even though it was completely my fault, the staff immediately apologized and brought me a new one on the house. That kind of service really goes a long way. It is definitely on the pricier side, but it feels pretty standard for an upscale spot in Austin. Honestly, that is the only thing I could even slightly complain about. We will for sure be going back. Nothing but good things to say.

I recently visited Ema at The Domain in Austin, which is the sister restaurant to Aba, and overall I had a really positive experience. The atmosphere is stylish and inviting, very much in line with what you’d expect if you’ve been to Aba. Everything feels well-designed and high quality, from the ambiance to the presentation of the dishes. The food itself was excellent. I tried the kofta kebab, chicken kebab, and lamb hummus, and all of them were flavorful and well-executed. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the quality was consistent across the board. That said, I did notice the portion sizes are smaller compared to Aba, so keep that in mind if you’re going in hungry. For drinks, I had a margarita and a rosé. Both were well-made and enjoyable, though the overall drink selection felt a bit more limited compared to other similar restaurants. One thing worth mentioning: there were no online reservations available for the night I went, which was a bit concerning at first. However, I decided to walk in anyway and was surprised to find plenty of open space, so it ended up not being an issue at all. Overall, Ema delivers great food and a polished atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back, just with adjusted expectations on portion size and reservations.

Yum! The vibe is all here. Aesthetically pleasing, service is top tier . Our favorite appetizer was the mushroom escargot it had the most flavor, not gonna lie everything else just tasted very “safe” if that makes sense. Still delicious tho but nothing stood out or wowed me. Definitely coming back to try some other dishes on our next visit back. We are on dry run at the moment but drinks looked amazing! 8-10.

Frankie was the best! Like Nacho Libre. I love it. Its fantastic! Great experience. Monika and Kathryn were so attentive as the managers. From the host stand to the people who brought our food to the drinks and atmosphere...every dish was scrumptious. 100/10! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
