Heard mixed reviews, but wanted to try for ourselves…found everything pretty delicious and only lobster toast disappointing, mostly because of the size/price. It feels like prices are baked into you using InKind, which makes it a bit more palatable.
We sat outside, which was a better experience than I expected being on a busy street and service out there was great. Caesar and fish and chips were the super highlights. Their own tartar sauce for the shrimp - yum! Sourdough with lobster butter is also a must.
Will be back and would be interesting to go for their happy hour and sit at the bar to maximize the atmosphere.
Cute little seafood place. All of the branding is very apt and aesthetic.
The best thing on the menu might just be the halibut crudo, it’s amazing!
They also have matchbooks if you’re a collector!
The food is great!
Would love to see Peroni on tap. That would complete the vibe.
I loved the Ceaser Salad and the Clam Chowder if you like the white think base.
Really love the Aioli for fries. We had this sole with crabcake special. It was very good. Reminded me of a presentation at Central market though the peppercorns were a little too intense. Maybe they could have strained them out or just put a few seemed to be a little overpowering.
The ambiance is charming. Reminded me of a restaurant in Boston. Everything was very intentional. The half curtains the beautiful photographs throughout. Would love to know where they found the Iwase Yoshiyuki photo in the women’s bathroom.
Waitresses are nice but Curt. Seem to be in their own world at times. Had to flag over for some needs.
The “off-menu” fried fish sandwich was one of the best fish sandwiches I’ve ever had. Completely and deservedly ruined the McDonald’s Filet O-Fish for me which it riffs off of.
Definitely order a side of fries, which had a great balance between crispy and soft. They were underseasoned but we asked for salt.
The mignonette oysters were tiny but had unreal flavor: briny, salty, crunchy, and spicy.
The brazino with beurre blanc and white beans was tasty but not memorable like the other dishes. The skin could’ve been crispier and I would’ve loved more beurre blanc.
We randomly popped in before they opened on our 10-year anniversary, and it turned out to be an incredible experience! The host was exceptionally accommodating and managed to seat us at the raw bar, which was a highlight of our visit. Our server, Carolyn, was amazing—knowledgeable and attentive throughout our meal.
The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. Watching the chefs was a treat, and their recommendations were spot-on. We even followed the oyster shucker's advice on which bar to visit next and ended up meeting some famous comedians we were in town to see!
I wish I could give the whole staff a 10/10. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Austin!
