As a long-time New Orleans resident and food scientist by training, I've heard about and known of Emeril's incredible reputation. We enjoyed 34 and were sad it closed. After Michelin awarded his signature restaurant 2 stars, I knew we had to go. Finally we arrived! I did not look at the website nor menu prior to my partner's booking. Upon opening the front door, everything about the staff, decor, ambience, music selection and seating was fabulous. The kitchen tour and explanation of our meal and pairings, then exquisite food and service were absolutely 100% top notch. I watch a lot of Gordon Ramsay and cooking tv shows, and virtually every offering, all night, from surprise appetizers to the 6-courses and special deserts would have likely won all competitions. Simply, this was one of the best restaurants I have ever experienced, alongside some French and Belgian establishments. Attention to visual details (color combinations, microgreens, fresh herbs, delicate edible micro-flowers, and pairings between acidity and sweetness; soft creamy and caramelized crispy) were phenomenal. And then, the stunning flavor bouquets were one topping the next, throughout the dining experience. Of course, this took over three hours, but it was worth every second.
Some how they managed to make a very posh dining experience feel very relaxed and unpretentious. Very New Orleans. The food was very thoughtful and delicious. And unlike other prefix dinners I've had, you leave satiated. Service was great, loved our waiter. It's not for the wallet weary, but worth every dollar.

This two-Michelin-star restaurant was our destination to celebrate my birthday, and to our delight, a spot opened up on the waitlist for the exact date. Words can hardly describe how delicious, beautiful, and elegant everything was. The service was absolutely flawless. It’s the perfect place to show your loved ones care and appreciation by treating them to exquisite dishes made from premium oysters, scallops, black caviar, and duck - each masterfully prepared with diverse textures that enhance the flavors and unite every course into a harmonious whole. A must-visit if you’re in the city, reservations are best made one to two months in advance.

Everything was excellent my entire dinning expereince was worth it i felt like i went to 3 michelin star restaurant.
I booked this restaurant for my Gf birthday and due to some small fight between us she did not show up and i was very very upset about the fact i had to go alone by myself since i paid for my reservation and it was non-refundable they charge $100 when you make a reservation each person and i made it for two.
I did not regret at all,
When i checked in at the hostess desk i saw the bar at the front gate which looked very cool and fancy and hostess immediately tried to wish happy birthday and confirmed my dietary restrictions which was amazing as i know for sure they care about the guest, they do read the message which we try to tell them.
Well so my gf never came so i ended uo going By myself and told the host there is no birthday celebration anymore :(
Waiter offered water selection, took my drink order.
Sous chef came from the kitchen and offered me a kitchen tour which was mind blowing since i was eating vegetarian that day and he explained the whole menu for other dinner and my special food what i was about to eat that evening by keeping dietary restriction in mind.
Every course was mind blowing they represent a local cuisine and everything was related to louisiana cuisine like boudin, poboy, gumbo, beignets and they had the best hot corn bread served table side and butter from france( the best presentation ) i have seen. Asked for coffee server with a small candle at the bottom of my coffee pot to keep my coffee hot.
Please check my youtube channel “wonderlandexplorist” i have a full video of it.

An incredible experience from start to finish.
The revamped dining room and tasting menu is an absolute masterpiece, and the brand new 2* designation is highly deserved.
The service was attentive but well-paced throughout the evening. The cost for the menu may seem steep at first, but there were plenty of extras thrown in from the start and at the end; we came hungry but were both extremely full by the end and could no finish dessert.
Congratulations to E.J. on an incredible vision that is perfectly executed. We can’t wait to be back.
