Galvin Bistrot De Luxe

We were pleasantly surprised. The tables are spacious enough, which is a big difference compared to many restaurants in France where guests are often too close to each other – we don't like that. The staff, especially the waitress and the girls on the internship, were very helpful and nice. As for the food, we took their suggested menu with cod. The appetizer was correct, although the pasta was a little overcooked. The main course was excellent – ​​the flavors, aromas and quantity were really on a high level. For dessert I chose a pie with mascarpone and cherries in the dough, which unfortunately disappointed me. It seemed like it wasn't fresh, the taste and texture were not good, and the cherries had pits, so I left it half. The bill was reasonable and I have no major complaints. Too bad about the dessert, because I was completely won over by the appearance of the restaurant and the main course.

This is the first Bistro opened in this street of Lyon. Nowadays there are several bistros and bar in this street. We had dinner , I love the ambience. The service wasn’t good, slow, in one point the servers completely forgot that we were there. We ordered Cesar Salad, Leeks with bacon and sauce, lamb with beans and A pastry with salmon. I enjoyed the combination of flavors, the balanced of the food . The restaurant inside is beautiful with a lot of history

Great setting for an excellent restaurant, and the perfect spot to enjoy great food while watching everyone go by. Diverse menu split between Lyon and other French favorites, along with a great wine selection, and a ton of desserts. Service was very friendly and helpful. Loved the pork crackling to start!

This has been our favorite out of a few days worth of meals in Lyon! Especially enjoyed the price fixed meal and the wine recommendations from our waiter. Will also shout out the kind service for tourists - thank you!
