Had a great meal at GDB in Maoz Aviv. The burger with the garlic dome and jalapeños was excellent, full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The classic cheeseburger was just as good – simple, juicy, and done right.
The potato side was surprisingly huge, very generous in portion size and absolutely delicious.
The restaurant also has plenty of seating, including indoor air-conditioned areas, which makes it comfortable even on hot days. Do note that during rush hours there are long queues for reservations and it takes a but time until the food is ready.
The only downside for Coca-Cola fans is that they serve Pepsi instead of Coke, but honestly, the food more than makes up for it.

GDB has been my go-to burger for quite a long time (about 3 years, originally frequented the branch in iben gvirol). The GDB burger is awesome everytime. The meat just melts in your mouth, the toppings only enhance the experience. MAKE SURE TO GET THE GDB, NOT THE CLASSIC.
The black garlic cap is a gimmick that doesn't really add anything but it does make the burger look iconic and doesn't really hurt the experience.
Unfortunately the fries are kinda bad, so I always go with the caesar salad, which is nice. I also don't really like the tomato salad - it is about 98% tomatoes, which is probably as advertised but to me it feels to much like straight up eating raw tomatoes.
The place is always very populated but thanks to the self service machines, there is almost never a long line, and even if there is one, it goes by quickly. The also added a lot of tables lately which makes this even more accessible.
Really great spot for burger lovers. Since the meat comes from Hinawy (the Jaffa butcher), the quality is top-notch and super flavorful. The fries are actually crunchy and they have way more side dish options than your typical burger joint. Plus, they have Red Stripe beer which goes perfectly with the burger.
Parking is super easy and available, which is a huge plus. It is a bit on the pricier side and the seating area is small—it can get pretty hot in the summer, though they have good heating in the winter. They also have steaks and a daily happy hour I’m definitely coming back for. Definitely a must-try.
Best hamburger ever!!! They have a special dish with the black garlic buns. The hot wings are delicious don’t dare to skip it. The waiting time is long, you need lots of patience and it’s worth the effort.
GDB Burger was a huge disappointment.
All my friends told me it’s the best burger in Israel, so my expectations were high — but unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst burgers I’ve had.
I ordered the burger medium, and it arrived burned, completely overcooked, with burned bacon on top. The meat was dry, the flavors were ruined, and it was clear there was no attention to doneness at all.
I left feeling super disappointed, especially considering the hype around this place.
Not recommended.
