I visited Gorkha Kitchen in 2024 and had a really good experience back then. The momos were especially very delicious, and even the gulab jamun tasted great.
However, this time the experience was not as good. The taste of the momos was completely different from before—much less flavorful and not as enjoyable. The gulab jamun was also disappointing and lacked the taste it had earlier.
Talking about the golgappas, the chutney was very poor, and overall the golgappas were not impressive—they didn’t have the authentic Indian taste.
That said, the shahi paneer and butter naan were decent and somewhat saved the experience.
Overall, compared to before, there has been a noticeable drop in the quality and taste of the food.
The food was amazing we had a large group so we just did orders of a little bit of everything. The Naan bread was amazing the Biryani rice with chicken was delicious with the sauce that came with. Everything came out super quick and super fresh. Had options of level of spicy which worked well for our group. Things were spicy but still had good flavor
Friendly eatery with a "dhaba" feel, featuring tasty, authentic South Asian food at very reasonable prices. The South Asian clientele attest to its quality.
Every dish we sampled was good: momos, various vegetable dishes and dals, naan and tandoori roti, and chicken curry. The chaas (salted buttermilk) was also excellent. Bottled beer is available.
Don't come expecting a frictionless fine dining experience: it's a small place and often crowded.
Cash only - there is an ATM just around the corner.
This is a relatively unsalubrious part of town, so if you're intimidated by drug users on the streets after dark, maybe it's not for you, but we experienced zero hassle.
All in all, highly recommended.
all in all was a good experience. we arrived on Saturday noon so there were no parking problems. The waiters were kind, most of them only speak English. We ordered chicken Momo for starter which was very delicious. for main course we ordered veg thali which was a little bit disappointed because there weren't a variety of dips and the flavours weren't strong. the Korma lamb was amazing!
The service is slow but we knew it in advanced so we were ready for that.
Was looking for something different, this was excellent and food here were tasty and affordable. If you love indian- nepali taste, this is the place you should try in Tel aviv center. You can dine in or take out. Chicken, mutton biriyani to sweet snacks qnd indiqn chay, whatever you desire, most of them are here. Enjoyed the food and you should try too
