Absolutely love this place — my favorite vegan grocery spot in NYC!
The selection is top-notch, the vibes are warm and welcoming, and the twins bring such great energy. It’s not just a store, it’s a community staple. Always stocked with the best finds and good people
The service was good (very helpful over the phone). The croissant sandwich was not warm on the inside (the cheese didn't melt at all); it would've been perfect. The cold herbal latte could've been alot stronger (it was mainly milk with a hint of tea; I'm not exaggerating). The shop had many interesting vegan products (pricy but convenient if you're in the area.) I'd maybe go back again just for the croissant sandwich but this time I'd take it home and properly warm it up.
Update/Reply to owner: Vegan cheese melts when it's warm, before it gets too hot. I tried to be proactive and politely specified my preference. Also, how customers feel about pricing is relative and varies, and that's okay. As I mentioned, I do appreciate your service and interesting vegan products and will try to stop by once more to support your small business.
Amazing plant-based cafe! We stopped in to grab breakfast and were talking about how delicious our sandwiches were for the rest of the day. Highly recommend the Just Egg Tuscan and Burrito. They also stock a number of vegan grocery items, and fresh baked bread and pastries.
The sandwiches here are impeccable. I highly recommend the Vegan Joe. Don’t skip the yummy cookies and pastries! There is also an excellent selection of beverages and groceries.
excellent staff / owners. really nice and friendly. really great range of fresh food and groceries. In the past, I tied my dog to a post outside to get a takeaway. what a novel idea 🤔
