Hiba is an upscale Israeli-Arab fusion restaurant in Tel Aviv, opened in spring 2022. It features a chic 40-cover dining room, an open kitchen, and offers a 12-course tasting menu designed to provide a Michelin-star experience. The concept weaves together roots and culture.
Customer Perception
Customer reviews are generally positive, praising the elegant ambiance, exceptional service, and presentation. While some older feedback mentioned inconsistent food quality, recent reviews highlight meticulous culinary craftsmanship. It is considered pricey, leading to debates on value for money.
The restaurant's unique design was crafted by Pitsou Kedem Architects. It is recognized by 50 Best Discovery and is considered a potential future Michelin-starred restaurant.
Food is ok. Meat dish was tough/chewy. Service is good and very on top of you type of feeling, given how close tables are to one another.
It’s punching 2x its cost for what I would consider worthwhile. Israeli fine dining is always a bit of a rip.
Celebrate a birthday dinner with a friend here and we had a wonderful time. The restaurant is aiming to be a Michelin star restaurant and it shows in the little details like the welcome, the service and the general atmosphere (there is no Michelin guide here). Early reservations are necessary.
I enjoyed many dishes, especially the pumpkin and sweetbreads bites. The potato was also very creative and interesting. The winner was the pre-dessert that took an Israeli salad to a new creative level as a palate cleanser. The desserts were a bit too intense for me but that is a personal preference.
The price for this type of meal is very affordable in comparison with other place has a great value for money. The location is very convenient with parking right across the street or in the building.
We visited HiBA with a group of four (two vegans, a pescatarian, and an omnivore), and every single one of us was blown away. The food was creative, filling, and beautifully presented. The service was top-tier attentive, professional, and very open to feedback. The opening and closing ceremonies made the evening feel truly special. As someone who has frequented Michelin-starred spots worldwide, I can say HiBA truly belongs in that league. Highly recommended!
The restaurant is designed in a very unique way, the space is very inviting, and the dining experience is wonderful. The service is also excellent, and the special welcome ceremony for each guest creates a great feeling for those who enter.
The food, on the other hand, is lacking in my opinion, especially because there is no uniformity in the quality of the different dishes. Some were excellent - the onion soup and the special potato dish - and some were on the verge of inedible - especially the dishes that combined fish and cheese. Of course, this is a matter of taste, but I didn't understand how someone could taste these dishes and decide that it was a good idea to release them to customers.
A high-end experience at this level of pricing must justify itself with excellent food, and unfortunately, HIBA does not meet this challenge.
Wow!!!
Everything was perfect, the atmosphere, the staff, the experience and of course the amazing food.
One of the best chef restaurants and tasting experience I had in Israel.
15 unique dishes that every one of them had special taste, color and appearance.
It costs 530 shekels without service and without alcohol and worth it!
Very recommend!!!
