Yes, this takes me back to Florence, Italy. I have tried All'Antoco Vinaio in its original store Florence Italy before. Definitely loves it. Good price, huge portion and great taste. I'm glad to see they opened store here in Boston. During my Boston trip, I definitely tried it. It's still good, but not as great as original Florence. First of all, the size is smaller. Good portion but size definitely smaller. Second, the price is more expensive. I agree it's probably not comparable with Florence store because of the different price in rent, labor and ingredients. Third, the bread is not as fresh as original store. As to the sandwich itself, if you don't compare it to original one, it's pretty good. The filling to bread ratio is satisfying. The flavor is good. The spicy eggplant add a gentle kick. The eggplant's creaminess is a good combination with mozzarella cheese. A little bit over powering the truffle cream though. I'm glad there is a wine selection. Probably an Italian thing to have wine with sandwiches. It is pretty chill and perfect match. I will still go there next time, have a sandwich with a glass of wine, reminding me the leisure time in Italy.

Best sandwich in Boston. I've have 'em all, Lobster roll, Famous roast beef, corned beef, Italian subs from the North End, bahn mi. Hands down this import from Firenze is tops. Most importantly, they make their own very special and very good bread called schiacciata. And as I always say sometimes."bread is 1/2 the sandwich"! Add to that imported meats and specialty spreads etc and that soecial ingredient - no not love - balance! Never too much of this to overwhelm the palate nor too little of that to get lost on the palate. Ok, it's not cheap, but like I always say sometimes, "you get what you pay for". So if you're cheap, be consoled - there's a chic filet next door!

Me and my girlfriend visited All’Antico Vinaio for a simple lunch. It was very busy, but trust me there’s a reason why. The line was out on the street. The sandwich we both got was the L’Italiana - it was just amazing!! Fresh ingredients like mozzarella and prosciutto, warm bread… What else can you ask for? The portions were just right for me (I came here with an empty stomach) but if you come with some food in yours, definitely embrace yourself. The vibe of the restaurant was great, one of the employees yelled that “we just made our 2,000th sandwich of the day and there’s more to come, please keep ordering”. I was just shocked! If you want a great quality sandwich with real ingredients, put All’Antico Vinaio on your list! Top tier experience!!

Pleasantly surprised, especially since this place was overly hyped when it first opened which can sometimes be a let down. The L’italiano sandwich with prosciutto was absolutely delicious. All the right textures and the stracciatella with pistachio cream combo on the crispy bread did not disappoint. I ordered takeout and ate it after a 20-30 min train ride home. Bread texture was still great and held up, no sogginess. Worth a visit!

Everything tasted super fresh. The bread was crunchy but thin enough that it didn’t scrape up my gums, the stracciatella was creamy and mild, and the pistachio cream was nutty with real pistachio pieces and just a touch of sweetness—perfect with the mortadella. The sandwich is huge (I could only finish about half). It did start to feel a little heavy toward the end, but overall it’s easily a 9.8/10—honestly one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. A little balsamic glaze, sun-dried tomato, spicy eggplant, or arugula could add a nice contrast to balance the creaminess. I know a lot of people said it’s pricey but the same sandwich would cost $22 (before tax) in Seattle and one slice of prosciutto burrata pizza from eataly is $17 after tax, so I’m happily paying $18 for this. Definitely coming back for more.
