Key Information
Kiin, meaning 'to eat' in Thai, offers a refined dining experience in Toronto's Entertainment District. It specializes in Royal Thai-inspired cuisine, showcasing the diverse culinary traditions from across Thailand, moving beyond Chef Nuit Regular's Northern Thai roots. The restaurant is known for its intimate and elegant setting, and its commitment to using high-quality seasonal ingredients from both Thailand and regional Canada.
Customers consistently praise Kiin for its exquisite, creative, and artfully presented food, often describing an 'explosion of flavors.' The service is frequently highlighted as impeccable, warm, and welcoming. While many find the dining experience fantastic, some reviews mention that the tasting menu, priced around $200 per person, can feel underwhelming for the cost, with mains sometimes perceived as less creative than appetizers. There are also comments about slow pacing during dinner service and a desire for a more interactive Chef's Table experience.

I loved every minute of my dining experience here. Chef Nuit (also of Pai) impressed me with my first Royal Thai dining experience - an impeccable tasting menu! My service professionals were top notch, warm, helpful, friendly and kind escorts through the tasting experience, especially my main server, Jeff! ❤️🙏🏼 The molecular gastronomy techniques were impressively folded into bold flavors and artful plating. Just fantastic!!! I’m so grateful to have been able to enjoy Kiin on this trip through Toronto. I can’t wait to come back!
I went to KIIN the first time they opened way back years ago and it's great to see that it's still standing strong. They've continued to innovate and bring the freshest ingredients into the mix. I miss their initial signature dishes like the colorful rice but the dishes we had the other night were just as good. The two starters, the tofu, the dragon fruit tea. And mango mousse were my favorites. Each dish was presented as a work of art. I ended up getting this tequila cocktail which was similar to a tequila old fashion, probably one of the most unique and delicious drinks I've ever had called Time to Plango.
My only feedback for the staff is to pace the dinner better, we had 2.5 hour reservation and the dinner ended up taking 4 hours, which was just excessively long with long windows of no food.
The food was exquisite and the service was impeccable!! The menu showcases an amazing variety of dishes, offering an explosion of flavors which intensifies with each bite alongside beautiful presentation. The kitchen crew clearly possess immense talent and the rest of the staff were incredibly welcoming, ensuring our meal was memorable from start to finish. I would highly recommend this spot to any food lover!!
My only criticism would be that the Chef's Table experience wasn't what I hoped for, having indulged in a similar experience elsewhere. We couldn't see how the food was being prepared, we could only see the crew working in the kitchen from afar. We had the exact experience as the dining room, where the server would explain each course once he laid it on the table. Would have liked the experience to be more interactive with the kitchen.
I did the tasting menu which is around $200/pp. while the food was enjoyable and creative, I was underwhelmed given the price. Most of the dishes were very good and the appetizers were particularly fun/creative. I was pretty underwhelmed by the mains though, which felt like more generic. I did see other tables that ordered à la carte with dishes that looked more interesting. I also wasn’t completely impressed by the service - they forgot to hydrate our towel.
Overall a good experience but was not blown away. Given the price, I would not return here. I feel like I could get an equally enjoyable experience for a much lower price elsewhere.
Cozy decoration, super fantastic food and service. The arts they put in every dish are amazing and elaborate.
Highly creativity.
You are not only paid for food but also for the dedicated work they have been working hard behind every kitchen.
Love it
