We had an amazing experience here, not only because the food was incredible but because of the kindness of the owner and staff.
During our visit to Sydney, my girlfriend accidentally left her bag at the restaurant. It had everything important inside: her passport, money, glasses, contact lenses… basically all the essentials. We only realised when we were already more than 200 km away, driving back at night.
We contacted the restaurant hoping for the best, and the owner was unbelievably kind. Even though he absolutely didn’t have to, he carefully kept the bag safe and helped arrange for it to be sent back to us by post.
Acts of honesty and generosity like this mean so much, especially when you’re far from home. We are deeply grateful.
On top of that, the food was fantastic. Truly delicious and authentic. Whenever we come back to Sydney, this place will always have loyal customers in us, from the Goldcoast.
Thank you again for your kindness. We will never forget it.
I went last Friday with my partner and our experience there was outstanding. The host and staff made us feel welcome and comfortable since the beginning. The food was excellent quality and came to our table very fast.
Looking forward to coming back for another food coma!
Me and my 5 friends was seating in table 8 had such a wonderful dining experience here. All the dishes we tried were flavorful and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Highly recommended!
This time I visited Kyo Yakiniku in Glebe, a BBQ restaurant that offers both all you can eat and à la carte options. We went with the highest tier buffet at $88.
Overall, the meat quality was quite average. The beef tongue was sliced too thin, lacking the texture and richness you would normally expect.
Interestingly, some of the fried items stood out more. The octopus was nicely cooked with a good texture, and the tempura was one of the more impressive parts of the meal.
The sashimi selection was quite limited, with only salmon, snapper and tuna available. If you enjoy a wider variety of sashimi, this might feel a bit disappointing. There are more options for sushi, but scallops are not available as sashimi and can only be ordered as nigiri, which was a letdown.
At first, the dessert selection looked quite promising. However, during the meal, we found out that each person is limited to only three desserts, with no prior notice or signage at all. Considering this is an all-you-can-eat option, this restriction feels quite disappointing and takes away from the overall experience. It honestly felt unnecessarily restrictive and was one of the biggest downsides of the visit.
The restaurant does offer various promotions throughout the week, but even with those deals, I personally feel there are better options in Sydney at this price point.
Overall verdict: average, not a place I would rush back to.
"The service was perfect from beginning to end. All waitress was friendly and helpful,
The buffet menu offers a wide variety of options, and everything we had was delicious. We especially loved the sushi dishes and also quality of the beef was very good."
I highly recommend this restaurant.
