Enjoyed the pasta here more than at Lilia and want to return to try more. The fettuccini was outstanding. The ricotta toast is so good but almost too much richness before pasta courses, I would probably skip that next time. Glad I tried it, and the mushrooms were a great counter. Also want to get into more of their vegetables, they do them so well here. Loved the mushrooms and the artichokes. Don’t skip the gelato, it’s a must order!
I would definitely come back here. Very good pasta and antipasti, it was really hard to narrow down our order. Portions were larger than expected. The whipped ricotta was delicious but a lot of bread. Spinach and mascarpone tortelli with brown butter was light and tasty. Asparagus with pecorino and guanciale was also very good and the caramelle was also something I’d get again.
First time at Misi and couldn't have asked for more. Both the appetizers and pastas were excellent - had a hard time choosing my favorites. For our first course we had grilled artichokes, white asparagus, and peppers with ricotta toast. All were simply prepared but seasonal and delicious. Pastas included spinach tortelli (very rich but tasty), fettuccine (perfection), bucatini with njuda (my favorite of the bunch), and gnocchi with sausage (meaty, fennel-y, and oh so satisfying). All the pastas were different but equally divine. Cocktails and gelato were great too. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top quality Italian pastas and appetizers that are seasonal, fresh, and simply prepared but deeply comforting.
Solid Italian spot - very vegetable forward fare, and interesting flavors and well executed dishes. Pasta texture was really nice, and they have a large industrial chique space with an open viewing area for the pasta makers kinda like the din tai Fung xiao long bao assembly line. Best thing we tried was the ricotta toast with mushrooms, nice char on the bread with quality olive oil and some very creamy but light ricotta, and the mushrooms had a nice snap and a lemony flavor. I’d come back here!
, especially for a special occasion - note that it is pretty far from a subway stop
Not really sure why this place has been getting so many negative reviews, but I will definitely be back. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the ricotta toast and the spinach pasta were my favorites.
Our server could have been a bit more attentive, but it’s a busy restaurant, so we understood.
