We came for lunch, knowing exactly where we were headed. The place turned out to be small, simple walls, no attempt to create any kind of "atmosphere". For a second you're a little surprised, then you just settle in.
The service was good. Attentive, without fuss or unnecessary words. You could tell people actually cared, but nobody hovered over you.
The food was the highlight. The watermelon salad stood out in particular. Sounds simple, but what arrived on the plate was something quite unexpected. The pancake also surprised us. Unusual in both presentation and taste, not what you'd expect at all. And the chocolate truffle at the end was a very worthy finish to the meal. Simply delicious.
The prices were a pleasant surprise. We came expecting it to be expensive, but the bill turned out to be pretty reasonable. For Tel Aviv, that's already good news in itself.
A simple place without any pretension. You come here to eat, and that's exactly what happens. We left happy and will most likely be back.
