one of the less traditional meals we had on our trip to paris, and absolutely in a good way. after several rich and heavy meals, it was refreshing to enjoy a lighter, ingredients-forward menu that felt more modern in flavor and presentation. this was also reflected in the buzzy and lively dining room, as well as a more casual, but no less attentive, service staff. my only wish is that portions were a touch bigger!
Wow, wow, wow!
I went for the Tasting Menu + Wine Pairing and I was beyond satisfied.
Elly received me with a warm and kind welcome to my table and along with Kim and Louise, they provided me with the dishes and explanations in detail on what they were composed of and how the chefs recommended eating them (method).
Mathias, the restaurant's star Sommalier shared with me all details on the wines and well, he did an splendid job in selecting the wine pairings for the dishes. Simply outstanding.
Big smiles, candind interactions and efficient, swift service.
I am coming back to Paris for the sake of experiencing their restaurant! That good it was.
It's a shame I did not get to say thanks to any of the guys at the kitchen, but here it is - Thank You! For your Great Service.
-Quiet Overall (No loud guests).
-Great Atmosphere.
-Price was great for the quality provided and quantity (both food and wine).
-Reserve with time! And enjoy:)
It was a great dinner, quite inescapable. We choose to have the menu. Was balanced, and original. The sashimi was wonderful very umami, guinea fowl, probably the best I ever had. The desert was very refreshing and special. Unfortunately only tooks pictures of the desert.
Delicious and interesting food, with a small menu but good choices.
All the dishes we tried were tasty and intriguing, with nice presentation.
The dining room was full, so we had to wait a bit for some dishes.
The interior is simple, and the atmosphere felt a bit lacking - it could have used a little more warmth or character.
We had a lovely evening dinner at Semilla. We found this restaurant looking online for places to eat and we found this gem. Wow!
If you come to Paris do yourself a favor and stop by. My wife had the wild Cod and I had the pasta dish. Both were amazing! The level of flavor and creativity were remarkable for a restaurant of this price range.
Our servers were super attentive and answered all our questions, even made a dish accommodation we weren’t expecting, but was greatly appreciated.
We hope to come back to Paris soon and Semilla is definitely on our list of “cannot miss” for our next trip.
Merci beaucoup!
