Amsterdam's vibrant food scene continues to expand with several exciting new restaurant openings. From a laid-back all-day café in Jordaan to a fusion dining experience on Bilderdijkstraat, these new spots promise diverse culinary delights.
Absolutely flawless from the execution to the flavour to the service. Wonderful wonderful staff. The oysters and shrimps were fresher than we’ve ever tasted. The bisque was dark and deep in umami. The beef tartare was generously portioned and perfectly balanced with the bitterness of the horseradish shavings and perfectly minced with an al dente chewiness. Cannot wait to come back to Amsterdam just for an excuse to eat here again and chat with the amazing people who work here. Note: pics don’t do the presentation justice due to lighting
randomly discovered this restaurant, and was very pleasantly surprised: the first glance when entering feels old money, luxurious. Especially in an evening setting. The little details in interior design and tableware were already impressive, so I imagined a dinner should be good. Without doubt every single dish we ordered was so delicious. And I consider myself a picky eater. We had langostines, king crab as starters and for mains yellowfin tuna steak and monkfish filet. No complaints, all praise. There was one little thing we didn’t like but it’s a personal preference- the dessert. When I order tiramisu I like to see the classic pop in front of me, not a restaurant’s own spin on it, but judging the nature of the restaurant I could have seen it coming, that the tiramisu is going to be a non traditional one. So I didn’t enjoy it - not that the dessert was bad but it wasn’t tiramisu. Also one note on the service, in the beginning we were not really taken care of swiftly for quite some time but I imagine it could have been a rush and maybe not enough people working so not trying to nag about it but just a little note that it could be improved. Otherwise service was great, everything really! Big recommend :)

What a terrible overall experience. First we arrived and waited 45 mins to get a glass of wine. Place was not packed at all, there were only two another busy tables. Waiter finally brought wine and put in my glass and friend of mine just to try, did not even ask if wine is ok for us. Put to 3rd person half of the glass and put bottle aside on the bar(we order 75+ eur bottle wine) . He got interrupted by most important guess then us. That is so rude to stop serving us to give attention to somebody more important. He forget totally to come back to us , so we needed to ask him to put us wine. Food was so late I think we waited at least following 1 hour .. bread arrived after 1 hours even though we ask to get bread first so I can give you my baby boy. Bread was so badly cooked , dry , without any taste. Food finally arrived and just before they remove plates and we needed to take plates by ourselves. Waiter (man) was so unpleasant & inpatients when he took a water bottle of my 2 years old son and move him away ! Who you are to behave like this and telling small kid who does not have any motion : move , I need to work. He could tell me not bothering and touching my son. Overall impressions is so bad and if is my worst food experience in Amsterdam for last 12 years. I have rated over thousands of places but never had such a bad experience. Only one shining point was young lady who was kind & sweet - she deserves the rise. I m intrested to see what owner of the place will tell about this review and how he/she will improve. Food was not great. We paid bill +400 eur.

Nice atmosphere and friendly service if you don’t mind that no one actually comes by with the check, and you have to join the line at the bar to pay. The wine list is quite good, but the food is underwhelming for the price. In the end, it’s yet another Dutch bistro that feels bland, especially at around €50 per person for lunch, soon to be forgotten

We went to have brunch on a Sunday to the Marlin bar and it was a lovely experience. The food was great and the outdoor seating is ideal when good weather.
We had the oyster, crabs, fish burger, and the sourdough bread and everything was delish! The vibe is super cool too. Indoor facilities are super nice too. Highly recommended for a fancy brunch spot
