Little Bonfire

We had made a reservation in advance, but unfortunately our booking was not in their system when we arrived. Despite this, the staff were very accommodating and managed to find us a table on the terrace, which we really appreciated. As the restaurant was quite busy, we had to wait a little before being served, which was understandable. One suggestion for improvement would be to bring out the drinks and cocktails first, followed by the food. That way, guests at least have something to enjoy while waiting for their meals. Unfortunately, it took quite a long time for the food to arrive, and the dishes were not served at the same time for everyone at the table. The cocktails actually arrived after the food, so we spent most of our time sitting outside without anything to drink. That being said, the food itself was absolutely outstanding — a clear 10/10. The quality and flavors were exceptional. With a bit more coordination and timing in the service, the overall experience would have been nearly perfect. Highly recommended for the food!

The food was very good and the interior was nice. The nduja chicken and the perfectly filleted, boneless fish shared first place. We also enjoyed the scallops and beef, though the patatas bravas felt cooked in advance and lacked crunch. Service fell short. I called days in advance to secure low seating and was told to put it in the remarks. On the day, they claimed it wasn't an option. We ended up with mid- height seating instead. Additionally, the staff lacked knowledge about the 2 bottles Chablis wine we ordered. The total bill was €350 including tip, which felt fair, but there are definitely areas for improvement.

This restaurant is almost perfect. My fiancée and I ate here twice during our four day trip to Amsterdam. We called for a reservation twice, but were weirdly seated in the most awkward seating available (shoulder to shoulder with other people). If the seating at this restaurant was more spaced out and thoughtful I would not have taken a star from my review. The steak tartare and sourdough bread was great. Our entrees were excellent and dessert was good. Service was nice.

Such a cozy and atmospheric place — the terrace is amazing, cocktails are delicious, and the whole vibe is just wow. The food was spectacularly delicious. The only small thing was that some dishes were a bit cold, almost like they had waited their turn before being served, but honestly everything was still very tasty. And the potatoes were unreal. Sometimes it felt like the waiters were a bit too busy and a few small requests got forgotten, but overall the experience was really lovely.

The vibe is so cozy, feels like you’re in someone’s home. The waiters are extremely attentive and always make sure you have what you need within seconds. Cocktails are done right, and the food is exceptional. Do not miss out on the shrimp and scallops! Truly an experience. Will definitely be coming back to try more dishes!
