I ordered delivery through Uber Eats and decided to try Tuk Tuk Thai because they were offering a buy-one-get-one deal on their mango sticky rice. Overall, it was good—the mango was fresh and sweet, though the sticky rice was a little dry and could have used more coconut milk.
I also ordered the Pad See Ew with tofu and vegetables, which was excellent. It was loaded with fresh veggies and packed with flavor.
Delivery was fast, and the food arrived hot, which is always a plus. My only issue was with the Uber Eats ordering process. There wasn't an option to specify a spice level or request hot sauce and chopsticks. I selected the utensils option, but unfortunately, no utensils were included with my order.
Based on this experience, I would definitely be interested in dining in at the restaurant and trying more of their menu.
Seriously authentic. I discovered Tuk Tuk 2 weeks ago... and I've eaten here 3 times already! I was so happy to see that they have Morning Glory on the menu... which is rare for a Thai restaurant in the USA. So far, EVERYTHING we tried was delicious and authentic. They remodeled the restaurant very well, it feels oriental yet modern and retro. Not only that, the food has so much flavor but I can tell that it is not smothered in MSG like many other restaurants.

We love Tuk Tuk Thai for so many reasons. Topping them all is their impressive variety of dishes, ingredients, and flavors! Lots of noodle bowls, rich curries, and potently garlicky stir-fries. We love the curry dumplings, morning glory (garlic heaven!), green curry, BBQ beef (the dipping sauce is spicy-sour-salty-so-good!), and the Tom Kha hot pot. They also have seasonal dishes/menus, where you’ll find comfort foods like jok (congee) and bitter gourd with egg. And if they have it, make sure you save room for their mango sticky rice dessert!
Their dining room is quite small (they have patio seating too), but we’ve never had to make a reservation. Probably because we usually go early for lunch. It does tend to get crowed around dinnertime, so I’d highly recommend reserving a table.
Parking is pretty easy; lots of metered parking along Sawtelle. There’s also a small public lot across the street (on Idaho) with fancy new pay stations.

very cute thai spot near downtown sawtelle with good food. the thai tea was great, very strong tea flavor and perfectly sweet. the pineapple fried rice was delicious as was the pad see ew. this spot is quite pricey but the portions are large. the atmosphere was lovely, this would be a cute spot for a date night!

Authentic Thai place! Remember to ask for Thai spicy, not American spicy, to make it authentic. We ordered green bean, fried rice chicken, and drunken noodle beef, all of which were YUM! Freshly cooked and quickly served. Service was very friendly and we could sit outside with the eater on. Oh, so comfy! Highly recommend!
