A super nice restaurant that perfectly combines casual with high quality dining experience IMO (without being really fine dining).
I came here with my husband & parents for a Friday dinner, and we went for a sharing concept, as we all wanted to try as many dishes as possible.
This isn't my first time here, so it's great that they have their few staple dishes they keep in the menu (which are really wonderful), but most of the dishes are seasonal and are based on seasonal ingredients so it still keeps things interesting.
From the staple dishes we ordered the leeks & bechamel sauce croquettes (already super delicious on their own, but served with sour cream on the side lifts them to a whole another level), cacio e pepe spaetzle (with the creamiest sauce that makes this dish the most comforting ever) & the fish burger sliders (seems like an innocent dish, but once you get a bite, you're already thinking about ordering another one).
We also ordered the potato latkes bruschettas topped with white horseradish sauce & pickled white fish (crunchy & spicy just on point), the sauteed mushrooms with raw egg yolk (deep umami flavors with a hint of freshness from the green gremolata it's served with), the bruschetta with homemade cured roe spread (salty and very well made) and the winter salad with lots of fresh vegetables and feta cheese crumbles (refreshing and perfectly balanced the more heavier dishes we ordered).
Of course we couldn't skip dessert, and we really couldn't decide between two of them, so we ended up ordering both!
The first was deconstructed lemon tart (served with fresh blueberries & burnt meringue) which was creamy, tart just at the right amount, with a delicious crumble.
The second was a berries cobbler (topped with a vanilla ice cream quenelle) that was comforting, with a melt in your mouth experience and a perfect combination of hot berries & the cold ice cream, and a hint of cinnamon.
To conclude, if you're looking for a great & high quality dining experience that's not too fancy, this is the perfect spot.
