First time at a Bobby Flay restaurant. Decor was beautiful and inviting. Service was excellent and well paced, didn't feel rushed but also didn't have to wait long for drink refills or getting plates cleared.
We ordered a variety of food, and all of it was delicious. Perfect seasoning and cooked to proper temperature and texture. House focaccia had a lovely olive oil flavor and we ate it with everything. Blue crab and eggplant meatballs were a unique and delicious appetizer, the fra diavolo sauce helped cut through the rich texture of the crab and eggplant. We ordered a red snapper from the fish market, had it filleted and grilled with a side of Calabrian chili pesto. The fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly, the only minor drawback was there were some bones left in one of the fillets. The side order of crispy lemon potatoes were fantastic, and the spinach was cooked perfectly and not bland at all. Dessert was the upside down lemon pie, well-balanced sweet and tart flavors and not too heavy.
Would like to come back someday to try other dishes, we had a really great experience here.
My wife came here as we have eaten at other Bobby Flay's restaurants and we were not disappointed. The meals were incredible, not just the taste, but the experience. We are looking forward to coming back again. My wife and I both ordered a whole fish dinner (the "Dorade" from the Mediterranean Sea) a true meal, salad, appetizer and oh yes dessert- an experience not to forget. Although we eat plenty of fish we haven't eaten many whole fish dinners, our waiter was extremely helpful showing and tell us about the fish selection and some simple tips on how to quickly and efficiently separate the fish bones to enjoy our dinner. Food, service atmosphere all Fantastic!
We came here for a birthday dinner for a group of six, and it was a lovely experience overall. The vibes were great and the atmosphere was perfect for the occasion.
Food highlights: The rigatoni was solid (7.5/10 for me), but the real stars were the burrata, the bread, and the tuna tartare all excellent. The butter and the squash were also standouts. We tried the fish as well, which was really good.
A nice touch they surprised us with a cake as a birthday gift, which made the evening even more special. Would definitely recommend for a celebration!
I dont often to all 5 stars but we absolutely loved Amalfi. At first the ladies checking our reservation weren't quite as friendly as you would think they should be for being greeters. But after getting seated it was as if we were having a meal with family. A meal that was way too good and will not forget. The Blue Crab meatball starter was so good! The Mezze Rigantoni was so packed with flavor it made our eyes spin - in a good way. The Chicken Parm was so moist and flavorful it was delicious. The Cremini Mushroom Polenta was soooo aromatic and herbaceous that it was a pleasure to smell while eating. And the Tiramasu is the best I have had in my 55 years of life and 20 years of estimg fine dining! Very much worth the time to eat here.
We came right when they opened with no reservation. Service was great and quick. The busser was quick to refill our water every time. Appetizer wasn’t too bad, expected a little more from the tuna tartare. For our main meal we went with pasta which was good, but not amazing. Portion is also fairly small. They also have a section where you can choose a live fish they can cook for you. Is it worth the price? Probably not.
