Beautiful restaurant, pretty good food, but the service left us confused. We ordered the truffle egg appam, rasam poori, chutney palette, shrimp vennai roast, bone marrow, dosa, and the coconut dessert. In terms of food, I loved the dosa, and coconut dessert. Loved the flavor of the rasam poori but two of them had holes in the bottom and leaked as we poured. The bone marrow and shrimp vannai roast were good as well. Unfortunately, the chutneys were very similar to each other and the truffle egg appam tasted too strongly of coconut, and I could barely taste the truffle or the egg. But still overall very good.
The service felt like they weren’t trying. The food came out at unreasonable intervals. We got the egg appam first, then the bone marrow, poori, chutney palette, and shrimp in rapid succession. It barely fit on our table— plates were half hanging off the side of the table. We felt rushed to eat it all because things were getting cold. The table next to us had to ask the waiter to take something back to the kitchen temporarily because they couldn’t fit it on their table. It was very odd and unexpected for a restaurant like this.
