Great service and ambience. The food was amazing. We ordered a trio of salads - chopped, beet & burrata, and the Brussels/kale. Each was seasoned perfectly. The chopped had a spicy zesty flavor. Thé Parmesan crisps on the kale salad were a nice touch. For entrees we did the strip steak and the ahi tuna. Again both excellent.
During our Jazz Fest vacation, we came in one evening for dinner at the bar. Our meal was absolutely delicious. We loved every bite. So much so that we returned two more times. Service was perfect and the restaurant is beautiful. Look forward to returning to try more of the menu items!
This place is truly a breath of Europe in the middle of a dirty city like New Orleans. A luxurious restaurant with a beautiful design where every detail is thoughtfully considered. It’s a pleasure for the eyes to step in from the grimy streets into such an elegant space.
You’re immediately welcomed by a friendly person at the front desk and seated at a beautifully set table. A special mention goes to our waiter, Steven — very pleasant, attentive, and professional. The service is genuinely high-level, absolutely European standard.
You really understand what you are eating and what you are paying for. The food is refined: well-balanced sauces, excellent flavor combinations, and everything is prepared perfectly. There is also a great selection of mocktails and cocktails, several of which are truly outstanding.
Overall, everything is at a very high level — exactly what you expect from a good Italian restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I haven’t eaten this well or received such great service in a long time, especially in this city.
I was in New Orleans for a conference and stopped by Gianna for dinner with a friend. We had such a lovely time with great food and a great atmosphere.
It's a beautiful restaurant with plenty of space for dining. We stopped by during the week so reservations were easy to make. We loved the ambiance and it's great for catching up with friends or even a date night.
The service was great! Our server was charming, made us feel welcomed and took good care of us.
For dinner we shared a pizza and meatballs and I had the lamb lasagna. Everything hit the spot especially the lamb lasagna. I was a little nervous about the mushrooms since they aren't my favorite, but I really enjoyed it! I would order it again and would highly recommend. The drinks were also really good.
Gianna is be great for a full meal or for after work drinks. Overall we had a great time and I will definitely return next time I'm in New Orleans.
In this gianna restaurant, every visit feels like a mini-vacation to Italy. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the rich aroma of garlic and herbs wafting from the kitchen. The decor is charmingly rustic, complete with checkered tablecloths and vintage Italian posters. I opted for the spaghetti carbonara, and it was simply divine—the pasta was al dente, coated in a creamy sauce that was neither too heavy nor too rich. The pancetta added a delightful crunch, and the fresh parsley on top elevated the dish. The service was impeccable; my server was attentive but not intrusive, making sure my glass was never empty. For dessert, I indulged in the panna cotta, which was perfectly set and lightly sweetened. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the generous portions and quality of ingredients. Ristorante Roma is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Italian flavors in a warm, inviting atmosphere.
