The boss, Mr Lee, is incredibly kind and welcoming. We visited a few times — on a weekday afternoon, weekday evening, and even on a weekend afternoon and every time the experience felt warm and homely.
The food was delicious and reasonably priced, which made the whole meal feel very worth it. It doesn’t feel like one of those places that tries to overcharge you. Instead, it feels like a genuine neighbourhood spot where you can enjoy good Korean food comfortably.
Although the restaurant is tucked away in a quieter area behind Upper Thomson MRT, there are still people coming by to support the shop. Most of the diners seem to be local Singaporeans, which is interesting because there aren’t many offices or tourist places around that area.
When we visited during weekday lunch, it was quite quiet perhaps because normal workers don’t really eat buffet on a weekday afternoon. Even so, Mr Lee remained incredibly friendly and attentive.
One fun thing I discovered was that you can actually make egg toast on the pan yourself! It’s the first time I’ve seen this in a Korean restaurant, and it made the experience even more unique.
If you’re ever around the Upper Thomson area, do drop by and show your support! :)
Nice place to get your Korean bbq fix! The short ribs and fatty pork is really awesome! Personally I love the potato salad and xiao cai. Their service is really good and they are attentive to your needs and comes to our table bbq plate to scrap away the darkened sugar marinade on the bbq plate! Good service! 👍
For a weekday dinner priced at $30 nett, the quality met expectations—unsurprisingly leaning more towards quantity over quality, as is typical of mid-priced buffets. Service was great, and free drinking water was provided. Worth noting: parking was a challenge, and we ended up parking at Thomson Plaza.
Food selection is alright but I think I would rather pay more for better quality meat. The place is not well ventilated and there are bugs. Service is very good though.
Great price value!!! I definitely ate way too much! Love the vibe as well since it’s self serve (whilst the staff did help you with the grilling and were very attentive in Puntong out the best time for grilling of your selections), the best selection of meats you’d like and so many sides. I should come here every week!!’n
