I say this as nice as possible because the staff were very accommodating. This was probably the worst kbbq spot I have ever been to. And I've been to a lot. I was a bit excited to try this. However, I understand now why it's the "best of Tucson". It's because it's literally the ONLY kbbq spot in Tucson. So extremely low bar. I have no idea how this place has so many positive reviews. I was not impressed for the amount of money. 40$/person is insane. I don't understand the menu at all. Why is it 40 for standard but if you want the good meet it jumps 10$ per person? I have never been to a kbbq like that.
Let's start the review.
-jap Chae was overcooked and way too much sesame oil
-fish cakes were too sweet
-kimchi was too bitter
-corn cheese had too much cream or something. It tastes like a paste.
-Ssamjang is extremely weird. It was liquidy. Ssamjang is not supposed to be liquid like since it is a fermented soy PASTE. It was not the right color and did not taste like Ssamjang. Ssamjang is usually a deeper color like a burnt sienna than whatever orange thing they gave me.
-grill temp was all over the place
-portion sizes were not good
The japchae had too much sesame oil. If I can distinctly taste the sesame oil there's way too much. The fish cakes had too much sugar. The portion sizes I thought were small for kbbq. Maybe get two servings out of one order. Also when the grill was initially turned on, it was so hot that our first round of meat pretty much instantly burned due to temperature and the meats were thin. Thank goodness the staff didn't charge us for the left over burnt meat. I'm serious it was CRUNCHY. Also personal take here. At this restaurant I didn't see any Asians on the staff. At kbbq usually you see Asians or Koreans working. I saw no Asians working. So I thought to myself if a Korean speaking person came here the would be in trouble unless the knew English very well. I'm a little concerned about if the owner is even Korean? You might not think it matters but it does. They know how Korean food is supposed to be.
Some good things. The galbi wasn't bad. It was the short rib with bone which isn't my preferred form of galbi but it was still good and not too sweet. The pop corn chicken was so good. They give a chunk of beef fat to grease the grill in the beginning which I appreciated. Strip loin was good. Although it was basically a chunk of meat you toss on the grill and cut yourself with scissors. The spicy pickled cucumbers weren't bad and tasted normal.
That's about it though. I would never come back here due to the price absolutely not equating to the quality. The staff very nice. But not nice enough to save the food. This place I would expect more 20-25$/person than anything. Not 40$! If the kbbq place absolutely was redone different story.
Found a sharp metal wire on my pork after i took a bite of it and I couldn’t stomach eating after i found it as just the idea of almost eating that stressed me out so much. Didn’t even see it i only happened to pause and saw something black and shiny, look just like a charred piece of pork at first glance!!
Stupid luck i or my partner didn’t eat or swallow it, these things can mess up your teeth, throat, esophagus, intestines. They can KILL. These things can get lodged anywhere on the way down and cause internal bleeding irritation or even get stuck in your brain when you swallow and cause brain damage.
I don’t think this establishment seriously trains employees on the heath and safety protocols when it comes to METAL SHARDS IN YOUR FOOD, Or what to do when it’s found, it not treat it like it’s not a big deal and any reputable restaurant should NOT use metal wire brushes at all!
But i got a soda and 12$ off…. so i guess thats worth the risk of brain damage and internal bleeding!! Right?!? Still paid $73.89!! I come here all the time have over 500$ here since it opened and i just can’t put it out of my mind that they would almost kill me and make me pay for it! freaking insane!
Be careful out there!

Absolutely awesome! I came into town and was really craving something like KPot, and stumbled across thiss. Went for lunch, wish I had gotten the premium, but that said, the meal was absolutely awesome!!!! The bulgogi rice pot side was delicious! I can not wait to visit one more time before I leave!

The photo doesn't do it justice, but this place was just an in-passing let's go out to eat...best decision of the weekend probably. Was amazing. The servers take on a group mentality so everyone helps every table, and that was a breath of fresh air. Very kind and explanatory staff, great food...great experience!

I recently visited a Korean BBQ restaurant that left a fantastic impression. From the moment you step inside, you notice how impeccably clean the place is. It’s cozy but not cramped, comfortably fitting around 40 people by my estimate. The ambiance is modern, hip and practical, although a bit of K-pop music and videos on the projector could have truly elevated the experience.
The servers here are nothing short of amazing—polite, friendly, and impressively fast. They’re always available but never intrusive, providing you with a seamless dining experience. One of the standout features of this restaurant, which I’m still raving about, is the burner system. Equipped with smoke vacuums, these beauties ensure that you leave smelling like yourself and not like you’ve just grilled half a cow. Trust me, your clothes and hair will thank you!
The side dishes were a delight—each one carefully seasoned to perfection, adding layers of flavor to the already superb meat selection. Speaking of which, the meat quality is top-notch, offering a range that caters to every taste. The eating rules are straightforward and well-communicated, ensuring that even BBQ novices can enjoy their meal without a hitch.
Parking is spacious, making it stress-free to visit, and the restaurant is perfect for any occasion—whether it’s a romantic date night, a casual meal, or even a mukbang session. It’s kid-friendly, too, so families can enjoy the experience without a worry.
In short, this place is a gem. I’ll definitely be back—and soon!
