קפה קז'ואל (Cafe Casual) is a unique culinary spot nestled in a hidden alley within one of Jerusalem's oldest buildings, dating back 160 years, just outside the Old City walls. It's described as a microcosm of Jerusalem's bohemian scene, offering a relaxed atmosphere with self-service. The venue transforms from a vibrant cafe serving breakfast, lunch, and Friday brunch into a wine bar in the evenings, featuring a delightful courtyard and an interior designed like a cave, suitable for romantic dinners or drinks with friends.
Customers consistently praise קפה קז'ואל for its excellent, perfectly brewed specialty coffee and fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented dishes. The ambiance is frequently highlighted as vibrant, relaxed, and charming, with a unique setting in an old house and a pleasant courtyard. Many appreciate the 'feel-good vibe' and the lively atmosphere, making it suitable for both working on laptops outdoors and social gatherings. Some minor feedback includes a desire for more non-cheese options and a suggestion for interior decoration to better match the historic building.
קפה קז'ואל operates with a self-service model. It is known for its 'culinary collaborations' and offers a diverse menu throughout the day, including specialty coffee and a selection of wines in the evening. The establishment is certified Kosher.
The restaurant is ideal for morning coffee and pastries, lunch, and especially for Friday brunch. In the evenings, it transitions into a wine bar, making it a great spot for a fun night out with friends or a romantic dinner.
