The famous restaurant of the chef who won previous rounds of Master-chef, you won't need much explanation of its background. It's one of the best Moroccan restaurant in the nation, and you won't be disappointed how many ever time you would visit, there is always a new stuff you would find. You can see not only traditional Moroccan dishes, but constantly evolving dishes with highly innovative tastes. Plus the location is superb, right next to the market, that's super fun place in Jerusalem.
The best restaurant we ate on in our whole 10 days around Israel. From the first impression with the nice reception to the food to the nice ambiance. The place is very well located in the middle of Jaffa street and close to the shuk.
Worth a visit

Delicious food. Friendly waiter. BUT too bad the kitchen workers go out to smoke and use their cell phones wearing the same gloves they use to prepare our food. Disgusting!! Notifying staff changes nothing as another worker went out with the gloves to sit and smoke...

8.27.17 - we came here after leaving Hatzol because we waited 20 minutes without being serviced.
I'm not sure if it's the culture to chase down the waiters, but Hamotzi was very busy inside, outside, and upstairs and they had a new waiter in training.
The food was great. We tried their grilled meats dish, Humous, Okra, and Fresh Chicken with harissa and preserved lemon, all of which were great.
Although the service was okay, I think the owner checked on us half way through the meal, which made up for the spotty service. It's nothing personal, but maybe I expect a little more of the basics.
I'm glad our hotel, and specifically Simcha, made the recommendations for us. She definitely knows her restaurants and Jerusalem.
