Nou ManolíN

Overall, this was a rather regrettable dining experience. I’ve never written a Google review before, but I decided to do so because I left feeling that the experience didn’t justify the price. The mushroom and prawn paella was unfortunately the biggest disappointment. It wasn’t to my taste, and I found it to be the least enjoyable paella I’ve ever had. The tuna tartare and the other two tapas were nice and I enjoyed them. That said, I still felt they were quite expensive for the portion size and overall quality. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, which I appreciated. However, I felt that the hygiene, the condition of the toilets, and the level of service didn’t match the premium prices. The waitress who served me came across as rather rude and cold. They rarely smiled and didn’t seem particularly engaged, which made the service feel less welcoming than I would have expected. In the end, I spent around €90 per person for a tuna tartare, two small tapas, a single-person paella, one lemonade, and a glass of inexpensive white wine. At that price point, I expected a more memorable dining experience in terms of both the food and the service. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel the restaurant offered good value for money, and I don’t think I would choose to return. La taberna del gourmet is a much better option with similar price range and food quality.

We had a wonderful experience at Nou Manolín. The food was exceptional, with high-quality ingredients and beautifully prepared dishes. The atmosphere was vibrant and elegant, perfect for enjoying a great meal. The staff were professional and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommended if you’re in Alicante!

Dining at Nou Manolín feels like coming home. From the aperitif to their iconic egg and ham “Swarovski”, perfectly prepared anchovies, tomatoes with traditional cured fish specialties, tender baby squid with caramelized onions, and finishing with a perfectly cooked beef tenderloin — every dish is a reminder of why this place is such an institution. An incredible combination of outstanding flavors, a buzzing atmosphere, and a team that makes every visit fun and memorable. Without a doubt, the restaurant in Alicante I visit more than any other throughout the year — and for good reason.

Absolutely exquisite dining experience! Especially the morel mushrooms filled with foie and egg which were superb! Such a complex souse! Our compliments to the chef!

Amazing experience! Unassuming at entering but a total surprise. Bustling bar downstairs, fine dining on the second floor. Extremely delicious food: the rices are made to order, tune tartare with is pistachio is a must with nice wine to pair. Great and attentive staff, David went above and beyond for us.
