Old Mates Pub

The staff is super nice here. Atmosphere during lunch was pretty chill and the food was fantastic. This place has my new favorite Chicken Sandwich! Just everything about this chicken burger is awesome. Large moist piece of super crunchy chicken, that's been soaked in that spiced honey. Generous portion of peri peri mayo, that's very delicious. Then you get these fresh pickles that bring a little extra heat, not too hot. So freaking good! I also tried their Porthouse chips with chicken salt, solid choice. They're great fries to begin with, but that chicken salt is a little extra surprising punch of flavor. Definitely check out this Australian pub! Worth the trip for the sandwich alone. Don't skip the chips either.

The service here was incredible! Everyone we interacted with was so friendly and welcoming. We were always checked on and it created a good environment. We tried the chicken burger and their potato wedges. The chicken sandwich was ok, it has a sweet taste to it which I felt was a little too overpowering, but that’s personal preference. The wedges were actually very good, and came with a good sweet and sour dipping sauce. If I came back I’d want to try other items on their menu, and their drinks as well.

Stopped by for a World Cup game. The service is fantastic. We were pleased with our simple bar fare. It satisfied our objectives 👌🏼

Can someone please give them the recipe for scones from Woolies or Coles? Cause what they’re serving are not Aussie scones. Overall average pub food, Sunday lamb roast was good but gravy was a bit too watery for me and my yorkie was like warm at best. Highlight was definitely the Kylie Minogue cocktail aka “Spinning Around” - love me a passionfruit cocktail any day of the week!
