My second time at Plates and I’m keen to ensure it’s a key part of any future trips I make to London from Australia. The 12 course chef tables menu was wonderful and I savoured every bite. It is great that this team continually adjusts the menu to reflect the freshest ingredients so each dining experience you have has new surprises. What I also loved was the welcome I received from Kirk and the whole team. Everyone at Plates cares about the dining experience they create and they work to ensure everyone feels like a VIP. The combination of menu and service creates a truly special occasion that leaves this very happy diner with some great memories to take back to Australia and a desire to come back soon.

The food was incredible. Packed full of different flavours and sensations. Surprising combinations that were all delicious. You really wouldn’t know that the whole menu is 100% plant based.
A really welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant. Relaxed and friendly but very professional at the same time. Everyone really knows their stuff.
The team was very attentive and friendly and we really enjoyed having the chefs come to the table to present the food and the Lion’s mane. It felt very special. The card (for my husband’s birthday) was very stylish and appreciated. Food felt like explosions of flavours. I am not usually vegan nor vegetarian and I did not miss the meat at all. A very satisfying experience. Thank you. (Just a pity I had forgotten my camera and could not take better pictures.)
We had dinner here to celebrate our anniversary and it was honestly perfect. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was relaxed yet romantic, and the food was just stunning. A big thanks to Kirk and the team for such a special evening!
What an incredible experience. The food is amazing. It's hard to put in to words the complexity and originality of this cooking. Each dish was so delicious with layers of flavour and texture that made for truly memorable dishes. We left feeling like we had a once in a lifetime meal and at the same time can't wait to go back!
