Pop & Pope

Supposed to be a great place - but sadly comes with various downsides. * The food is ok, but not outstanding. One must say that dishes arrive very fast. Also too many items on the menu. Instead of 50 dishes focus on 30. * The service is quite bad for a place that comes with such an interior/settings/atmosphere: Difficult to bring simple water. Dessert came but without spoon - so we needed to ask for it - twice. On the second time we've heard "Yeah I am searching for them" .... in a place like this you don't want to hear such an answer of "internal problems" - and besides spoons should be available at all times. * We also got the same dessert twice (we ordered one) - probably as mistake - it was on the house. But still a bit weird. * The waitress did the payment across the table, instead of handling it personally with me, that my company does not need to be involved. * The hosts at the entrance were not attentive when we left the place - no "Good bye" nothing

Today I paid a visit to Pop and Pop with my friends 🧡. I like everything: food, service, atmosphere, restaurant decoration. Each ordered dish had a unique taste. There were very beautiful cutlery, proper table setting, and a unique atmosphere. Many thanks to Adi!🏆♥️✨️

The restaurant design was awesome! The majority of the food was good and unique ( actually all of it but the ribs that was served well-done ). Our main problem was sitting next to the balcony & getting the smoke/ cold from the outside .

This place is the poster child for the new and heinous brand of vulgar, scammy, tasteless, and overpriced restaurants that floods Tel Aviv and is slowly turning it into a cheap version of Miami. It starts with them trying to sell you ugly 700 NIS plates that are taken away from the table if you don't fall for the scam and buy them. Then, the waiter goes through a sales pitch carefully designed to pump up the price of the meal. And then the food finally arrives—in record time. In fact, in less than five minutes, four main courses were served, and for the most part, they were terrible. Everything was over-sweet, sticky, and drenched in an ungodly amount of sauce that was so overly salty and had such a bad aftertaste that I can almost guarantee it was made with some store-bought cheap stock (perhaps the famous onion soup powder). The dessert was crushed cornflakes and popcorn that wasn't even fully puffed, and it was as bitter and hard as a rock. Oh, and I almost forgot, they had a "mentalist" walking around between the tables, bugging you with card tricks... This place is nothing short of a diplomatic incident. The "chef" needs to personally apologize to Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner for the sake of global peace and stability.
