Satay by the Bay is a great place to enjoy local grilled food in a relaxed, open-air setting surrounded by greenery. I visited during lunch on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t crowded, making it easy to find a seat and enjoy a leisurely meal
There is a good variety of grilled food to choose from, including satay, BBQ chicken wings, seafood and other local favourites. The food centre’s garden-like environment and waterfront location add to the experience, making it feel more like a destination than a typical hawker centre
We ordered kue pie tee, popiah, and hor fun, all of which were really tasty
I’m a big fan of kue pie tee and popiah, so whenever I find a place that serves them, I usually order them without hesitation
This restaurant, in particular, served one of the best kue pie tee I’ve had
But, as soon as we placed the dishes on the table, a bird flew in and took the popiah off the table!!
My friend mentioned that birds often try to steal food here, so it’s better if at least one person stays at the table to watch the food
Overall, the food was great, but just be careful with birds
Stopped here for a quick snack on our way to Gardens by the Bay. The dumplings were okay, but nothing special in terms of flavor. The prices are quite high for the quality and portion size provided.
In a city like Singapore with so many amazing food options, this place unfortunately falls short. We’d recommend looking for better value elsewhere.
Satay by the Bay is an absolute gem! Located in the heart of Singapore, this vibrant food court offers an unforgettable dining experience. The atmosphere is lively, with beautiful views of the marina, making it a perfect spot for both locals and tourists.
The star of the show is undoubtedly the satay. The skewers are perfectly grilled, with a delightful smoky flavor and tender meat. The peanut sauce is a must-try—rich, creamy, and just the right amount of spicy!
Beyond satay, the variety of dishes available is impressive. From juicy seafood to flavorful noodles, there’s something for everyone. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and freshness of the food.
The staff is friendly and efficient, ensuring that your dining experience is smooth and enjoyable. I also loved the outdoor seating, which adds to the charm of the place.
Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, Satay by the Bay delivers on all fronts. I can’t wait to return for more delicious food and stunning views! Highly recommended!
Satay by the Bay offers a lively open-air dining experience with a wide variety of local hawker food options. The satay was nicely grilled with a good smoky aroma, tender meat, and decent seasoning. The peanut sauce was rich and nutty, with just the right balance of sweetness and spice, pairing well with the satay.
Beyond satay, there are many choices such as seafood, local favourites, and drinks, making it a good place for group dining. The atmosphere is relaxed, especially in the evening with the waterfront breeze and city views. Prices are slightly higher than neighbourhood hawker centres, but acceptable considering the location and ambience.
Overall, Satay by the Bay is a good spot for tourists and locals to enjoy satay and local food in a scenic setting.
