Saucy! By KFC

Saw this place on the map and had never heard of it before. I was planning at stopping at the mexican place in this plaza but ended up saying what the heck and came over to see how it was. Went inside and first thing I'll say is that the bathrooms were impeccable. I was shocked and was not expecting that at all. So definitely kudos on the housekeeping. The employee at the register was pretty awesome too. Cool, friendly, patient, and attentive. Doing a great job overall. Now. I have some good things, as well as some bad things to say about the food. I'll start by ripping the bandaid off and letting you know that the fries were mediocre at best. I think management really needs to get this right because bad fries can ruin the whole meal IMO. They were stale and cold, like they had just been sitting there for the past 4 hours. Either make less fries at a time, or implement a taste test once an hour or even twice an hour to make sure you're giving customers something you'd want to eat! I honestly wish I didn't even get them with my meal. It would have been a thousand times better without them. The second thing is that the sauces are really getting skimped on. It's disappointing. It's a 2oz cup, you could at least put 75-80% of that in there without it spilling over. I mean, how high can the cost be on sauce? Pic included of the amount received of each before I even tasted them. Specifically the Sweet N Saucy BBQ, but thankfully it wasn't that good anyways, lol. That said, there are a few good things I will say about the food. The Cajun Honey Mustard was amazing! It was creamy, flavorful, and really complemented the chicken well. The chicken itself was honestly the statement piece though. It was so HOT, CRISPY, and DELICIOUS! 1000% the best part of the meal. It was so juicy!!!!!!!! I've never had chicken tenders that juicy before. Ever! Definitely hit the mark on that. Oh and the puffy bites? Left a little to be desired IMO. They were warm and had plenty of powdered sugar. The chocolate sauce was divine, I could probably drink a bottle of that stuff by itself. But the puffs themselves were honestly a little tough, like they weren't really puffy. I would have expected them to be a little more airy, like a pastry dough. All in all, 3 stars due to the needed improvements on food as the biggest factor. Hopefully the owners read the feedback they get here and find a way to make some changes so they can be great!

I feel like this restaurant really didn’t think about the value of food or customers experience. It seems like someone just wanted to franchise under the name KFC and make something happen and sadly it’s just not working out . I feel like I’m eating at a kid restaurant eating kid food for the price of 28$ ? I feel like that’s ridiculous. Chicken tenders with rice and mind you the chicken tenders don’t come tossed nor crispy or even hot. The rice taste like it came out of a bag, the tacos are just a bad copy of the snack wraps from McDonald but a more expensive option. Everything it’s precooked; you feel no love in it comes out cold or not looking fresh. And don’t get me going in the puffy. They lack flavor. You only get 3 with a chocolate dipping sauce that’s too rich. Just horrible experience. I tried it twice and just never again . In all truths it taste like one those cold meals you buy at Publix and stick in the microwave. Tv dinner .

Dined in for lunch. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by Carlos, who ensured we had everything we needed throughout our lunch. We each had the 3 piece Tendies with fries and a drink. The combo comes with 2 sauces so we tried different flavors. The Korean sweet heat was a favorite as was the teriyaki. Chimichurri and the saucy sauce were ok. Several more to choose from. The chicken was hot and juicy and the fries well seasoned. Three of us ate for $28.58 which is a good deal in today’s world.

The manager Alex was so nice and the staff was such a vibe. The space is so cute and the tendies and sauces were so yummy!
