Xerta Restaurant

The food was absolutely bursting in your mouth, everything was unexpected, one was sweet the other was salty. The variation of umami was mouth watering, totally recommend for everyone. The atmosphere was like a luxurious and unique hotel was beautiful plants. The waiters had mind blowing skills like gripping a bowl with his finger tips.

We booked a table for 8:00 PM and arrived at 7:55 PM. The host at the entrance told us there were still 5 minutes left and asked us to wait on the lobby sofas. We waited until 8:15 PM and nobody ever came to get us. In the end, we had to go back and ask them ourselves before they finally seated us. Once seated, my wife sat on the sofa side, only to find food crumbs on the seat. Worse, she actually sat on a loose screw! When we reported this to the waiter, they simply took the screw away without offering a single word of apology or any gesture whatsoever. When we were deciding what to order, a man in a black shirt (who seemed to be the manager) came over and asked if we were ready. We said yes, we were ready to order. He then arrogously replied, "So?" We told him we wanted the tasting menu. When the chef's appetizers from the menu arrived, one of the pieces completely lacked garnish. For the second course, the pink tuna, the portion sizes across our four plates were visually and glaringly inconsistent, and again, one of the plates was missing its garnish. The tortelloni tasted average. As for the monkfish with red prawn sauce, the prawns tasted like they weren't fresh at all. The biggest issue was the Iberian rice—it actually contained sharp bone fragments mixed inside. Luckily, I noticed it in time and spat it out, avoiding broken teeth or a cut throat. This is no longer a question of whether the food tastes good or bad; it is a serious issue of diner safety. Finally, the dessert came with a leaf on top, which we were told was just a decoration and not edible. I know this restaurant used to hold a Michelin star but lost it this year. All I can say is that they absolutely deserve it. They truly deserve a 1-star rating—but a 1-star rating on Google, not Michelin.

We had such a special and wonderful time here at Xerta for our anniversary! We had the chefs selection with the wine pairing. Each and every dish was better than the last!!!! The wine paired perfectly with each dish presented. The staff was so attentive and kind and explained each dish and each wine to us. It was a 10/10 experience that we will always remember. Highly recommend you go if you're in town!

We stopped by Xerta for lunch and were thoroughly impressed. We opted for the set menu, which offers a great selection of choices and includes two drinks (wine, etc.), making it excellent value. We started with the famous red prawns, and they were cooked to absolute perfection—definitely the highlight of the meal. The rest of the courses were just as high quality. The service was professional and very attentive throughout. The space itself is beautiful, featuring a stylish semi-open kitchen that adds a nice energy to the room without being distracting. Highly recommended for a refined lunch experience.

I was surprised with this place by my girlfriend and was very satisfied. Above all, the staff must be particularly well evaluated here. Nice, courteous personalities with good expertise and charm. The house wine is fantastic, I like the balance of freshness and creaminess, very typical for good Garnacha Blanca from the Terra Alta. The interpretation of the dishes is fabulous and resembles the narrative of southern Catalan cuisine. Convince yourself with the pictures, because there is nothing wrong with the food and the menu. Thank you for the beautiful time in your establishment, gladly again!
