Buvette Tokyo is an international French-style bistro, part bar, part restaurant, and part cafe, offering an all-day dining experience from morning to late evening. Located in Tokyo Midtown Hibiya, it aims to transport diners to Paris with its cozy, intimate, and candle-lit ambiance. The restaurant prides itself on serving authentic French cuisine without Japanese fusion, making it a popular spot for breakfast, brunch, and dates.
Customers consistently praise Buvette Tokyo for its delicious and authentic French food, particularly the 'heavenly' Pain Perdu (French toast), which is often described as a must-try. The Salade Niçoise and Belgian Waffles also receive high marks. Service is generally noted as great and attentive. The Parisian-themed, cozy, and intimate atmosphere is a significant draw, making it a popular choice for dates. While some find the prices on the higher side, many consider it worth the experience. Common observations include the small table sizes, which are noted as typical for Paris, and occasional waits for seating.

A French, cosy ambience. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The food was fresh and delicious.
For drinks, the Morning Elixir was potent and was the perfect way to start our day as it had a kick to it. The Iced Latte was creamy and flavourful.
The Salad Nicoise was fresh, nutritious with the perfect amount of dressing - hands down the best Nicoise salad I’d ever tasted.
The Saumon Fume was average, though the baguette was exceptionally tasty.
The Belgian Waffle was crispy outside and moist inside with plenty of fresh fruits on the top.
Last but not least, the Golden Assam Tea was malty and the best way to complete our meal.
Two of us ordered a total of 3 dishes and 4 drinks. The bill was a total of ¥10,000 which was reasonable.
The only thing worth keeping in mind is the size of their tables are quite small. This might be their style.
We highly recommend Buvette for breakfast and brunch.
Ordered from the brunch menu. The cold pea soup was incredible & green salad quite tasty. The Nicoise salad was good but had a random piece of chicken in it which was not the greatest surprise for a vegetarian. Service was decent and the restaurant is quite nice. We will return!
The restaurant had a waiting line, but the service was fast and well organized. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee was very good too. We ordered waffles, eggs with gouda cheese, and some French fries. Everything was very tasty, especially the eggs. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food arrived quickly despite the crowd. Overall, a nice place for a relaxed breakfast.
Delicious, authentic, and attentive.
The food is most definitely overpriced in terms of price to volume but I wouldn’t recommend coming here with the intent of getting a full meal. It’s a date spot! The environment is intimate and the food is well presented. Snuggle up to your partner and enjoy the bite size portions.
Amazing pretty fancy, pricy French toast cafe in Ginza 🤤 worth it? 😇
I came on a weekday at a bit past 2pm.
Even tho the place opens at 11am, I was told the French toast was sold out.
Came back 2 days later at around 12:20 weekday. No issues getting seat.
The cafe is Paris themed and having been to Paris recently. The atmosphere does it justify except for maybe the music 😗
I know some reviews on Google complained about the small tables but this is 💯 pathetic to stuff in Paris
Counter seating and table available for solo guests
720 coffee ☕️- actually not bad considering the location
1970 - pain perdu aka French toast
On the pricier side but totally expected for this location.
The French toast comes with strawberries, raspberries and blueberries 🫐
None frozen
The French toast is a square with some vanilla ish crème on top. It’s sweet but not overpowering
The French toast is absolutely heavenly 😇
It almost doesn’t taste like French toast but cake. It’s super soft and fluffy.
Waiter confirmed it’s brioche bread that they bake in house 🤤
Need to try more French toast in France but this was easily better than most I had there.
5 stars ⭐️ ✨
The service is also great. Refills for water came without me even noticing
The only weird thing to note is how this is a French spot but they got a USA flag on front door 😅(not a complaints)
Overall easy 5 stars ✨ on everything.
Gotta comeback early to try this French toast again 🤤
