The BEST pizza I’ve had in London. Truly the tastiest crispiest base, with fresh ingredients, a stunning sauce. The pizza selection was sensational! The staff were friendly and there was a lovely area for seating. I got the Kevin and I would never think to put leek in a pizza but it was genuinely sensational, the perfect soft sweetness blended perfectly with the meat. And the Nduja dip was the perfect creamy smokey sauce that complimented everything so well. If you’re in the area, it would be a shame to not come here!
Well, I have been ordering from these guys since lockdown. They have the best pizzas around. But today, I had just the most balance and unexpected pizza; goat girl. Sweet, salty, rich and chewy. Unless you're mad, eat here. Keep going guys and thanks to the order queen on Instagram messaging and Ben for his wonderful leg power and happy smile no matter the weather. Xx
I love coming to this spot with friends for a pint and a pizza, the hill station cafe has a great community-fuelled atmosphere and it’s a great idea to have pizzas you can order in or out.
However, I wanted to say something, as the last time I came, for my siblings birthday on 13 March, I was really disappointed. I got a gluten free pizza which I think I paid £3.75 extra for. But it was given so little care or attention, I could barely eat it. It had hardly seen the heat of the oven! The crust had got no colour, the passatta was sour, sloppy and not hot, and the cheese barely melted. Eating gluten free is already a pain, but when you have to pay 25% extra on top, the experience was unpleasant and I felt embarrassed to eat it in front of my friends. I asked for some olive oil or salt first but the new waitress said they didn’t allow this. The staff at hill station were attentive to my needs and tried to find some olive oil for me. By this point I asked another wait staff to put it back in the oven for me, and he kindly did so. This made it a bit better. I understand you are super busy on a Friday night- but if you have people paying this much more for a gluten free base that you have imported from Italy, at least treat it with some love! There are many celiac Italians who would back this I’m sure!
I would like to come again as it is fairly rare to know a cute place to hang out that does do gluten free pizza, but please adjust your quality to reflect the price / charge less!
Extremely cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. The pizza was so delicious, the best pizza I’ve eaten in a while. The breakfast snacks were also very tasty (we’ve eaten some spinach rolls and banana cake). A must-see for both tourists and locals!
This is the best pizza in this part of London, period. The Mcgyver is a highlight, a great mix of spicy chorizo and sweet honey. The staff is super friendly and the location is cozy and suited for spending the whole day meeting with friends, working with your laptop, or just hanging out. Overall, amply recommended.
