We booked the backyard venue for a corporate event to watch the worldcup together, and we couldn't have asked for a better venue. Hannah was such a lovely host, the staff behind the bar was so nice and helpful, the queue was never long, and it's so cool to have a private space in the middle of the city. Last but not least there was a handy man who came and helped us to get a sign and when there were issues with the audio, plus the food was amazing, we ate all of it - I can only recommend this venue for all kind of business or private events!
We booked the Loft at The Light Bar this weekend to host our wedding drinks and couldn’t be happier with the top tier service we received!
Great communications and explanation throughout. Excellent food & bar service and very grateful for the little extra mile they went on countless details of hosting a wedding party night for 90 approx people.
They provided ample amount of the amenities needed, kept me updated throughout a smooth running night. Fantastic staff and service. Thanks team!
The Light Bar hosted my VIP Dinner for women in my professional network in London. From the moment of booking, the staff were so helpful and communication and planning was spot on. We did a group set menu and the food was spectacular, so delicious and very generous servings with wonderful fresh, rich flavours. They kindly catered to dietary requirements and the service was impeccable - they really took care of us and we were all super impressed. They accommodated us moving to an outdoor table given it was such a beautiful balmy June evening and it was truly magical to relax and connect. Would absolutely recommend it for any corporate or personal event - it was an amazing venue.
Along with cocktails, the group set menu was absolutely spectacular starting with burrata and peppers, salmon fennel citrus salad, trout and crème fraiche, flatbreads both plain and topped with olive and tomato, and crispy chickpea hummus. Next came shared mains - delicious hispy cabbage on ratatouille, basil pesto baked orzo with rocket and Parmesan, and a baby chicken with gravy and greens. And of course we squeezed in the mountain of crispy churros with chocolate pots because dessert obviously goes into another tube.
I was truly blown away by the fresh flavour-packed dishes, perfect location, and wonderful service. I’m still dreaming of that heavenly trout dip…
Visited the Light Bar for their Sunday Lunch Roast set menu.
The restaurant is housed in a renovated Engine Home and still displays some original features.
The main dining room is large, light and airy.
The set menu offers 2/3 courses.
The Sunday Roast selection was Pork loin, Beef and Chicken served with a vegetables and a rather nice Spiced Cauliflower cheese.
The food was quite good as too the service.
Only negative was that lettuce salad was served with the roast as part of the vegetables.
Certainly a good offer at £30:00pp.
I was there once and I liked the experience! We were 3 girls, ended up at The Light Bar on a Friday evening. We ordered cocktails and I loved mine! The service was good, the staff is nice and the space is spacious. I do think that it might be also a good venue for celebrations or events. There was a live DJ playing and he really nailed it. Although it is a bit loudy, I really liked the place and you can still find a place to chill and hear each other somewhere upstairs. Recommended!
