We had a fantastic experience dining here. Food was extremely tasty and prices were super reasonably priced.
The Fish Biryani and King Prawn Malabar were our absolute favorite dishes. Great taste, nice level of spice and kick, and packed full of flavour. It pairs extremely well with the Kerala Paratha which was super flaky yet with a strong doughy integrity.
We shared a bowl of Payasam for desserts, and it was an absolute treat. It’s relatively sweet, but it is a very heart soothing and warming milk-based dessert that counterbalances the spiciness of the main course at the end.
Visited Ragam in Ritzforia London and had a really good experience. Everything is halal which was great to see. We started with pappadoms and the pickle tray, the beetroot pickle especially was brilliant.
The masala dosa and chicken masala dosa were both excellent, really good portion sizes and full of flavour. 10/10
The fish chilli was spot on too, not overly spicy but perfectly balanced. 10/10
Kerala paratha was flaky and delicious, although £4.25 for one did feel slightly on the expensive side 9/10
Overall, really good food, service and ambience. Can’t complain at all.
Overall: 9/10, will definitely be back!
Really tasty food, and delightful staff tending to us, has a great meal here with friends. The food is genuinely spicy, which is brilliant!
Highly recommend this place.
Its located very centrally still easy to miss in those lanes around fitzrovia. We just happen to find it on Google and went. Small cosy ambience not any fancy restaurant but still central London prices. Food was a bit and miss. Egg curry and parrota was something we liked but not as much the dosa. Chilli Gobi was not very crispy as we thought and the aubergine dish was a random suggestion which was nice.
My partner absolutely swears by this place and had been raving about it for a while, so we finally went to check it out after work and it was so good that we came back again just a week later. I tried the chilli idli, which was incredible. Most places claim their food is spicy, but this one genuinely delivered—it really hit the spot. The paratha we ordered was so buttery and soft that it practically melted in my mouth.
My partner is obsessed with the jellyfish here and orders it every single time we visit. The dosa was also quite different from the ones I usually have, but that’s because this is a Malayali restaurant, so the style of dosa is different from the Tamil ones you typically find.
Will I be coming back? Absolutely. The food is amazing and I’d definitely recommend it to others. It is a little on the expensive side, but that’s pretty standard for central London.
