Excellent fresh pasta and food. Clearly there's a reason this place is well known in London. We had the potato bread, burrata and fried artichoke to start. The later a real standout of the whole meal - we could have eaten just that and the unami flavour with the rich romesco was *chef's kiss* 🤌. The pasta was amazing particularly the silk handkerchief dishes which really show off the quality of the pasta. Dessert (canoli) was good and we liked how it wasn't too sweet, although possibly wasn't quite as strong pistachio flavour. Unfortunately, the atmosphere and service let this place down. Our server seemed very unbothered and not exactly the most welcoming or happy. We also noticed a few basic things not done right. For example, our cutlery and napkins were taken away after our started (understandable) but we weren't brought any more until just after out main was served and even though they were quick about it they were then just placed together on top of only one napkin (for two) instead being set beside each person. We were also seated next to a ?drinks station for water and whilst this wasn't too much of a problem our server leant on the bench seated over the counter a few times next to us. Then we were brought the bill before being offered any dessert/coffee! The music was also a little too loud. We could still hear each other for the most part but had to pay attention and struggled to hear our server at times. Overall, we would come back for the food and hope we had a different experience otherwise next time.
