Good food, decent ambience. The food needs a bit of attention. The spices and herbs, personally felt off. Loved the dosa and bonda. Couldn’t try biryani’s. Sambar can be better. Best wishes and good luck to the deccan cafe team.
Deccan is an absolute gem for anyone who loves authentic South Indian cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by rich aromas, warm hospitality, and a vibrant atmosphere that instantly sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. The menu is thoughtfully curated, offering a wide range of traditional dishes bursting with bold, balanced flavors — every bite feels like a true celebration of South Indian cooking.
What truly elevated the experience, though, was the exceptional service. Sreesha was amazing — attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about ensuring we had the best possible time. She went above and beyond, offering great recommendations and making us feel completely at ease throughout the meal.
If you’re looking for outstanding food paired with top-tier service, Deccam is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back to have the Best Sambar in The Uk!!
The best restaurant for South Indian food in Tower Hamlets. The peanut chutney is truly out of this world—it instantly took me back to the tiffin centres back home. I tried the Manchurian, biryani, and fried rice, and every dish was spot on. On top of that, the service is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home.
(ANY HALAL EATING MUSLIMS) I have seen this resturant on my travels. And although i see alot of good reviews (OK?) i asked the woman if they were halal and she said yes and to Google them. Google can say anything i wanted proof, there was no certifications on their wall claiming to be halal. Still gave them the benifit of doubt and probed further.... after allot of wispering in the kitchen they came out and showed me there itinary for Meat purchasing.... it wasnt stated halal either... so i was confused. So i ordered veg and had a strong reaction to the food and ended up with mucas phlem filled chest and sever cough. Thank god my son only had chaptai and tea.... Just be aware this resturant May not be halal. Good luck... but the staff were lovely.
The butter chicken masala was so good, and the portions were generous as well. The food arrived quickly and tasted very fresh. Would definitely return if I am back in the area.
