Additional Details
Claro, meaning 'clear' in Spanish, is the first restaurant by renowned Israeli Chef Ran Shmueli, who has over 25 years of culinary experience. It is located in a historic Templar building near Sarona Market.
Reservations are highly recommended due to its popularity. The restaurant is generally open for lunch and dinner, typically from 12:00 to 23:00, with a break on Mondays (12:00-16:00, 18:00-23:00).
This was our second visit to this restaurant. The first time we came for breakfast, and it was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was lovely, even though every room was packed. The food was incredible. The whole place has a luxurious European vibe rather than the feel of a typical Israeli eatery.
We came back for dinner and ordered the pork and the octopus. I can honestly say it was the best octopus I’ve ever had in my life. Perfectly cooked - tender, flavorful, beautifully seasoned, and not rubbery at all. Simply out of this world.
The pork was equally impressive. We eat out often and love trying different places and dishes, but we’ve never had pork prepared like this before.
To finish, we ordered the Paris-Brest dessert, and it was absolutely amazing. It’s hard to put into words how impressed we were with the cuisine. Every dish was a delight.
This place is a true gem and an absolute must-visit!
The only word I have to describe this place is "Amazing"
Have you ever been to a restraunt to find that cocktails or desert are a let down? Well not here. From the second we walked in everything was perfect.
The atmosphere, the service, the cocktails are spot-on, the food is just amzing. I highly recomend.
I’m still buzzing after an incredible dinner at Claro. If you’re looking for a dining experience in Tel Aviv that feels like a true escape, this is it.
The food is genuinely exceptional—you can taste the 'farm-to-table' freshness in every dish, with local ingredients elevated to a world-class level. But what really shocked me was the service. It’s super professional, polished, and attentive, which honestly feels like a breath of fresh air compared to the usual 'casual' standard you find in Israel. They really know how to host here.
We sat in the outdoor area, and it was pure magic. Between the historic stone architecture of the Sarona complex and the soft lighting, it felt exactly like sitting in a gorgeous, sophisticated piazza in the heart of Europe.
I’ll be honest: it is expensive. You’re definitely going to pay more here than at your average bistro, but in this case, you are truly paying for quality. Between the impeccable service, the atmosphere, and the sheer talent in the kitchen, it is worth every shekel for a special night out. I can’t recommend it enough.
I had lunch there on a weekday and had a great experience. The location is very central, just a few steps from the light rail station. It’s set inside an old stone house in the Sharona compound, which gives it a rustic countryside feel.
The food was outstanding—very unique and exclusively locally sourced. The service was excellent as well. Our waitress was very knowledgeable, explained the dishes in detail, and helped us choose the right pairings.
It’s definitely not cheap, but it’s a great choice for an upscale dining experience.
We had a great dinner on Monday evening.
Service was super nice, tasty cocktails and just great food!
The menu changes constantly, so it’s nice that you get to enjoy a completely different meal every time you arrive.
