⭐ 1/5 – Rude, chaotic service that ruins the entire experience
The positive reviews for AZIA 19 are genuinely puzzling. While the food itself was acceptable, the service was disgraceful and outright hostile.
We were a table of four, hosting visiting guests. After a reasonable start with drinks and starters, everything fell apart. Our four main courses arrived one by one—the first plate served alone, the second about four minutes later, and the final two nearly fifteen minutes after that. By the time everyone was eating, the first dish was cold. There was no apology, no explanation, and zero accountability when I questioned why the meals weren’t served together.
The manager’s behavior was even worse. He repeatedly walked past our table physically bumping into my arm, never once apologizing. After we ordered dessert, he came over and bluntly announced: “You need to leave in 10 minutes, I need your table.”
Not a request. Not an apology. A demand.
This is unacceptable in any restaurant, but especially at a place that charged over NIS 1,300 for the evening. At that price point, one expects basic courtesy, professionalism, and respect for guests. None were provided.
My guests were unimpressed, I was embarrassed as a host, and the overall experience was poor from start to finish. Despite the hype, I would not return and will actively avoid recommending AZIA 19 to anyone looking for a kosher restaurant in Jerusalem.
One star. Spend your money elsewhere.
