Customer Perception
Customers consistently praise the electric and convivial atmosphere, describing it as a 'secret spot' with perfect lighting and music. The service is frequently highlighted as exceptional, warm, professional, and attentive. The food receives high acclaim for its incredible flavors, precise cooking, and generous portions, with many considering it a first-class experience destined to become a Soho institution. While some note it can be a bit noisy, this is seen as fitting the 'osteria vibe'.
The restaurant is located at 6 Greek Street in London's vibrant Soho district. It features a dedicated 'Green Room Bar' offering cold martinis and a selection of living wines.
Good spot for unique (albeit heavy) Italian fare - loved the white risotto, the grilled sole, the carciofi salad, the baccalà, the red shrimp, the crostini and the cheese. The flavours are incredible, and the portions are filling. Good wine list. The service is impeccable and my reason for giving 5* - our server (Joao) was fantastic! Nice ambiance and good amount of space (which can be hard to find in Soho).
This dinner will remain in my memory for a long time. The atmosphere is electric with low lighting, a simple décor, and a bar at the back of the restaurant buzzing with people.
The service is exceptional: friendly without being overbearing and, whenever a mistake is made (small ones at that), they are great at making things up and removing the item from the bill. They are genuinely nice people who want you to have a good time.
And then there is the food: every single item we got served was excellent, starting with the tongue-shaped flatbread (Lingue di Suocera), olives, bread and olive oil.
As starters, the items that truly stood out were: the Aged Ricotta, Olive Oil and Sarawak Black Pepper; Seafood Fritto Misto; and Gratinated Mussels.
As mains: the White risotto with 30-month Parmigiano Reggiano was exceptional. I haven’t had such a well-made risotto in years. Second best was the Veal alla Castellana with Fontina and Prosciutto. Desserts were very good with Ice creams, a kind of Crème Caramel, and a kind of flat Biscuit whose name I cannot remember (see last pic).
The wine list has lots of interesting bottles, and the champagne by the glass (Franck Pascal, Reliance Brut Nature) was excellent.
Overall, a wonderful experience.
A great new addition to Soho. The restaurant was alive with excitement. The food was really good regional Italian - the olive oils excellent, and delicious Toklas bread. There is a great wine list, with a huge selection of Italian and French wines in all price categories. The service is what made it special - attentive and friendly. Charlie is a great host, Cameron a master sommelier, and we loved Harry in his cream jacket !!
Super good experience. Had a lovely risotto with parmiggiano which was creamy with the risotto really well cooked. The potatoes are super good and so are the cime di rapa. Service is professional and helpful. The atmosphere is calm and serene despite the hustle of Greek Street. It is a bit noisy but it is inline with an osteria vibe. Prices are ok considering the quality of the food. Dessert wise we tried the amaretti cooked a la minute which are so scrumptious paired with some fresh zabaione… to die for! A must try
A fantastic evening in this new spot!
Atmosphere was immediately convivial on entering, lighting and music levels were perfect. It really felt like a secret spot.
Service was very warm, but professional and the staff all wearing crisp uniforms was a nice touch.
Food was exceptional. Prawns were fresh and delicious, pastas were all cooked to perfection and extremely tasty. Portion sizes were on the generous side.
Wine list was a standout - only French & Italian, but the depth and breath of the list was up there with some of London's greatest restaurants. Best of all was that the markup was fair, some really good value esp. at the upper end.
Had a drink at the back bar afterwards. Very cool little spot and the Martinis were excellent!
All in all a first class experience and if they're already achieving this level of quality a few days in, then it's destined to become a real Soho institution!
