Absolutely wonderful Spanish tapas and what you might expect from a 1 Michelin star restaurant. A beautifully decorated, large dining hall with the front of it comprising a bar where diners could have more snacky type fare. The quality of the food was absolutely superb. I'm a sucker for octopus but also aware that very few places do it right. Well Legado's was absolutely superb with the top nice and crispy while the middle was so tender. Oddly enough, one could say the same about the sourdough bread where the crust was amazingly crispy whereas the rest was so so soft and just wonderful, served warm. Every dish was exceptional, particularly the leeks escabeche and the stuffed squid. The red sangria was wonderful too and if it had been dinner I would have liked to try their sherry too. If it had been dinner I might have been tempted by the roast suckling pig too though if you order such a hefty dish you might not have space for others. The roasted pork belly was a slight disappointment as I felt it lacked flavour and the pan con tomate was alright but very much overpriced - and the waitress was keen that I order more of it. I'm glad I didn't as the sourdough bread was far better - and in fact the pan con tomate wasn't a patch on what I've had in Spain. Otherwise this was a truly exceptional meal although of course at 65 quid a head it was by no means cheap.

Wow. A Spaniard giving it her seal of approval! There wasn’t a single dish that I didn’t absolutely love. And the service was incredible. César took care of us and made our experience even more enjoyable. 100% recommended. Please try the rabbit!!!!! And the best dessert I have tried in London. 🇪🇸☺️ como en casa!

Unbelievable. A truly special experience from top to bottom. We sat on the pass and saw every dish come out. The chef ran us through all the plates and served us himself. The menu is huge so plenty to choice from and everything bangs. The suckling pig is a show stopper but honestly you can’t go wrong. Will be going back asap

What a lovely meal and experience. We celebrated my partner’s birthday with lunch here and it did not disappoint in the slightest. The restaurant is only a short 5-minute walk from Shoreditch station and is incredibly warm, welcoming, open, and flooded with natural light from the skylight. The atmosphere is chilled and relaxed whilst still feeling special, the perfect setting for a long lunch. The staff were impeccable from start to finish, from the communication via email ahead of our visit, to the warm welcome when we walked through the doors, and the informed, attentive approach throughout our culinary experience. There were three of us and we shared around nine plates (not including dessert). Every dish was delicious, skilfully prepared, and clearly made with care and passion. It’s difficult to pick a standout because everything was enjoyable, but the monkfish, Alioli, lamb neck, ribs, and courgette were especially memorable. Even the salad was tremendous, and seriously, who says that about salad? The flavours were delightful!! The plates are served as they’re ready, which sometimes in other restaurants can mean awkwardly long gaps between dishes, but here the pacing was spot on. The food flowed out regularly and naturally, giving the whole meal a relaxed rhythm without ever feeling rushed or too slow. I’m not usually a big fan of sweet dishes, but the chocolate cheesecake and churros are absolutely worth trying. The sauce that came with the churros was so good I genuinely considered drinking it and asking for a refill. Excellent vibe, even better staff, and truly delightful cuisine. If you’re unfamiliar with Spanish dishes, the staff are brilliant at explaining everything. I also found it useful to check Instagram beforehand to see what some of the dishes looked like. Huge compliments to the chefs. I even appreciated being able to see some of the preparation happening in the kitchen. I’m not usually one for Michelin restaurants as I often leave still hungry, but I left here full, happy, and ready for a nap. Vibrant flavours, beautifully prepared food, quality ingredients throughout, and a genuinely enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommended.
